Turtles Legged Wheel

Artificial limbs to the feet and hands turned out to not only be applied to humans, but also animals. Recently, an artificial foot organ applied to a turtle.

Gamera, African tortoise was 12 years old, have an artificial left leg from the wheel. These artificial legs or wheels mounted owners at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Wheels affixed to the shell of a turtle using epoxy or certain polymer compounds.

The owner was forced to amputate his left leg foot Gamera after burning. If it is not amputated, then burns it can spread throughout the body and endanger his life.

Interestingly, since the prosthesis is implanted in the shell, as reported by LiveScience, Thursday (21/07/2011), Gamera looks more active. In fact, weight increased 1.4 kg.
