Android Apocalypse Breathe Issues

Antivirus vendor Symantec recently claimed, saw an increase in the number of malware threats that target mobile devices

The latest discovery is Android.Smspacem, which is a version of the official applicationTrojanized "Holy F ** king Bible".

Interestingly, this threat has nothing to do with the date May 21, 2011 and is rumored tobe happening apocalypse. On that date, the malware will automatically reply to SMS messages sent to devices that have been infected. The contents of the message is:"Can not talk now, the world would end."

Furthermore, the malware will randomly choose one of several similar messages that have been determined and start sending the message to all contacts that exist on theuser's contact list. All the messages that appear and then will provide information on speculation that the apocalypse will happen on that day.

In addition, the threat also use other tricks, ie by contacting a hosting service and tried toperform a command remotely. Lastly, this threat will change the wallpaper of infecteddevices to some pictures that have been determined. Threats of this type spread inAndroid due to unregulated markets.

One of the main factors that can reduce the threat is to ensure that the device isconfigured. This is nothing but to prevent the downloading of applications from a place other than the official Android website. (@infokomputer.com)
